This course prepares students for a basic grounding in a career in the art and design discipline. Students will be exposed to a variety of basic skills and techniques in Art & Design, which will enable them to progress to advanced courses at a Diploma level.

Most of the teachings are studio based and concerned with developing drawings as means of communicating ideas and analysis. The students will experience the use of a wide variety of materials and processes including painting, printing, silk screen, photography, ceramics and graphic techniques as well as various aspects of visual language including colour, shape, form and structure.
