It's white, it's pure and it's also made out of toilet paper!Equator students recently made a splash when they swept all the awards bar one at the recent fashion design competition organised by Gurney Plaza Penang. The competition challenged the participants to create wearable and visually stunning wedding gowns to be made out of toilet paper! The students, under constant guidance and support of the lecturers, worked hard for a week to produce gowns that was not only elegant but also strong enough to be worn. Their hard work paid off on the day of the competition as first year student Leong Weng Chung took home the 1st prize award, while third year student Gan Houy Chiee bagged herself the third prize. Amazingly enough, all the consolation prizes were also won by Equator students, an achievement to be proud of. Congratulations to all the award winners. |
